Hello First Bloggers, I searched youtube and found a video that runs (2:25 mins) that teaches the viewers the importance of using bullets. Although this video is short is it very specific. It tells the viewers to use bullets as much as possible on a resume. Recruiters at a company spend very little time reviewing the resume, so make it possible for them to see the importance easily. We all wrote resumes in this class, and most of us have used them outside of school. It is said that using paragraphs in a resume is overwhelming for the reader and does not get to the point. The writer should include what the employer wants and needs to hear.

ReplyDeleteRemember that your post should be a minimum of 100 words. You picked a great video which gave some awesome advice about using bullets over prose. You needed to add a rationale for doing this so that the post is more substantive (meatier). You also needed to proofread your work (too not to) and put the title of your post and your full name in the subject title of the post.
To embed the video into the blog, go to the video you want and look on the right side. You will see an embed code. Copy and paste the code right in the message box of the blog like I did. Then, your readers can click on it after reading your summary of what is in there. You might also have reviewed the video and told your readers how long it is (2:25 min).

ReplyDeleteThe video is perfect for the topic. It concentrates on a specific element of resume writing. It does not try to mention to much information about general resume writing and runs long enough to get the message out that bullet points can help with the look,structure and flow of any resume.
